Your Storytelling story, begins here

This is a fun, fast-paced introduction to the world of sports broadcasting.

Participants, ages 13-18, will learn to prepare and deliver pregame live shots and postgame highlights. Each person will leave with digital copies of his or her live shot and highlights.

Camp runs June 8-12. Camp tuition is $750.

Most sessions take place at KVUE’s TV station (North Austin) from 10am - 2:30pm. Wednesday, June 10, we meet at Dell Diamond from 6:30pm - 10pm for our pregame “live shots” followed by a Round Rock Express game.

Each participant will provide his or her own lunch, each day.

Skills participants will develop:

Writing for TV, effective use of rhetorical devices, reading a teleprompter, nonverbal communication tactics to increase persuasion, all taught by award-winning sports anchor Jeff Jones from KVUE in Austin.
